Lake Mburo National Park is one of Uganda’s smallest national parks, extending over 260km2 with an altitude range from 1220m-1828m above sea level. UGANDA SET TO HOST IAAF WORLD CROSS CHAMPIONSHIPS.

Kampala, Uganda is in high gear to host the 2017 IAAF World Cross Country Championships.   Uganda won the bid to host the games, to return the edition to Africa after over a decade. The last edition of the championships hosted in Africa was in Mombasa, Kenya. Uganda has been undergoing preparations for the games since 2014. The games are scheduled to take place on the 26th of March 2017.  Thumbs up from the IAAF team that has been monitoring the plans and preparations by Uganda shows that the country is ready to host the championships.
