Queen Elizabeth National Park that spans the equator line in the shadow of Rwenzori. Queen Elizabeth National Park was founded in 1952 as the Kazinga National Park however after two years, the park was re titled Queen Elizabeth II National Park in memory of the Queens visit to in 1954. Queen Elizabeth National park covers an area of about 1,978 square kilometers making it the second largest national park in the country after Murchison Falls National Park with over 3,893 square kilometers.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is home to several number of wildlife that has attracted a number of tourists in the country especially its tree climbing lions in Ishasha, big herds of Elephants, Uganda kobs, Topi, Antelopes, Leopards, water bucks, Hippos and several crocodiles along the Kazinga channel among the many.

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park and do a Mweya boat cruise along the Kazinga channel

For us to achieve without missing any activity, you must be up so early in the morning and take breakfast so that you are ready by 5am in the morning. Our Uganda safari guide will pick you up in the morning from your hotel, give you a short briefing about your 2 days Uganda wildlife safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will then start your journey and make a stopover at the equator in Kayabwe for an opportunity to stand in two hemispheres at the same time,some photos, polar water experiment and have a look at some art and craft, purchase some souvenirs if you wish.

You will purchase packed lunch at the equator and then proceed to Queen Elizabeth for your Mweya boat cruise along the 45km Kazinga Channel that joins Lake Albert and Lake Edward. During this boat cruise, you will spot several hippos, crocodiles, and other several animals that come along the river banks to quench their thirst like elephants, water birds. The Kazinga channel boat cruise is a world of its own. After your boat cruise, check in at your hotel for your accommodation and dinner as you prepare for the next day.

Day 2: Do an early morning game drive and transfer back to Kampala

On this day you will wake up early, take breakfast at your lodge so you are ready by 6:30am. Our driver guide will pick you up at the lodge for your early morning game drive in the park for about 3 hours. After your game drive, go for lunch at the lodge, check out and prepare to leave this part of the world and head back to Kampala. Arrive in Kampala in the evening, transfer to your place of accommodation or airport for your late flight.
