Christmas Tulambule Campaign 2018 Launched

This time round as you plan to travel alone, with friends or your family for your up-country journey to relax from a full year of work, Uganda Tourism Board has launched the “Christmas Tulambule campaign 2019.”

This campaign was launched so we can embrace local tourism in Uganda because tourism is not meant for only international tourists that safari Uganda for Uganda wildlife safaris, Uganda birding safaris, Uganda gorilla safaris as well as other adventure safaris.

The Tulambule launched campaign means you can visit any of Uganda’s tourist destinations to enjoy good fresh natural air endowed with nature resources.

Are you worried about where you will spend your nights during your tour Uganda? Don’t be afraid, Uganda has several hotels, lodges and campsite located in the various tourist destination areas around Uganda.

The state minister for Tourism Godfrey Kiwanda Ssuubi while launching this said his ministry is currently running four different marketing campaigns including; the Tulambule Tourism campaign which is geared towards encouraging local tourists; the Twende Uganda, targeting tourists from the East African region; Destination Uganda which is targeting tourists from the rest of Africa; as well as the Pearl of Africa Tourism campaign which is meant to attract tourists beyond the African continent for a Uganda safari.

The Ministry of tourism says the number of tourists will double during this festive season and that Uganda will be Africa’s 6th most visited nation, up from 10th position in 2016.

The minister said that in the last 10 months, Uganda has received more visitors than it has ever had in any year in the past history.

“Uganda in 2017 registered 1.4million tourists according to Ssempebwa yet this year, the number has already exceeded 1. 7million.

According to Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) boss John Sempebwa the country has registered excellent performance in attracting tourists in fact he declared 2018 as the country’s best tourism year ever.
