The safari takes you to Mount Elgon rising to 4321m above sea level standing as the fourth in East Africa and the eighth in Africa with the largest mountain caldera, the Sipi Falls – one of the most magnificent sites in Uganda, Kidepo Valley National Park which is one the best National Parks in Africa with counts of wild game most of which can be rarely found in other protected areas of Uganda, Murchison Falls National Park with its world’s powerful waterfall, Budongo Forest Reserve – the home of over 800 chimpanzees and lush mature tropical forest and Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – the home to the southern white Rhinos which can only be found in this place in the whole of Uganda.

Day 1: Drive to Sipi Area And Hike The Sipi Falls

Embark on transfer to the east of Uganda driving along the magical impressive landscapes including the Sugar cane plantations of Lugazi, Mabira forest Reserve, Jinja town, the swamps of eastern Uganda, Mbale town before eventually arriving in Sipi.

You settle for lunch after which you embark on the hike to the Falls. The hike offers you magical views of the famous Sipi Falls along with the views of Mount Elgon and the communities below.

The encounter presents a magical opportunity for sightseeing and photography. Retire for relaxation, dinner and overnight

Day 2 : Do Whole Day Hiking to Elgon Mountain

Following an early breakfast, you transfer to the Mount Elgon Headquarters for the day long hike. Standing as the forth tallest in East Africa and the eighth in Africa, Mount Elgon features the largest volcanic mountain caldera and is known in history for having the tallest mountain in the whole of Africa before it was eroded to its current position.

Besides the 42km2 Mount Elgon features the largest Volcanic base on a world scale stretching to 4,000km2.

The day hike gives you an opportunity to explore the mountain scenery, the lush flora, birds and other wildlife.

The views of Bagisu farmlands, the plains of Karamoja and the town of Mbale are fascinating. Retire for relaxation, dinner and overnight

Day 3: Drive to Kidepo Valley National Park

After breakfast, you embark on the transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park to the far north east of Uganda driving through the impressive countryside landscapes.

You can opt to drive through Soroti and Lira or through Nakapiripirit ansd Moroto before approaching Kidepo Valley National Park in the afternoon. Retire for relaxation, dinner and overnight

Day 4: Undertake a Morning Game Drive / Wild Game Viewing in Kidepo National Park And Afternoon Cultural Tour to The Karamojong Community

Wake up for a cup of coffee before embarking on an early game drive through the Narus and Kidepo valleys to gain stunning views of not only fauna but also amazing scenic views of this semi-arid wilderness.

On this game drive, you may see lions, giraffe, buffaloes, zebra, elusive leopard, cheetah, and Antelope species while the stretch to Kidepo valley exposes you to Ostrich that only thrive in this park in Uganda.

Return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch after which you will visit the Karamojong communities in the afternoon.

The traditional Manyattas have unique architecture while the general setting of their homesteads rotates around their pastoral occupation. Retreat to the lodge for overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park From Kidepo NP. Explore The Landscapes of Northern Uganda

You embark on the transfer to Murchison Falls National Park Uganda’s largest National Park. You drive through the impressive landscapes of northern Uganda with its flat open stretches marked with its horrific past of the Kony War.

You make a lunch stop in Kitgum or Gulu before proceeding to Murchison Falls National Park arriving in the evening for relaxation, inner and overnight

Day 6: Do Morning Game Drive in The Northern Section of Murchison Falls National Park, Afternoon Nile Boat Cruise & Hike to The Top of The Falls

Wake up early enough for a cup of coffee before arriving at Paraa to catch up with the ferry crossing at 7:00am to the northern bank of the Nile if you slept in the south.

Upon crossing, you will drive through the amazing rolling Savannah combretum dotted with enormous numbers of wildlife including; Elephants, Buffaloes, giraffes, Jackson hartebeest, Uganda Kobs, bush bucks, waterbucks, lions and if lucky elusive leopard.

The 3 – 4 hour game drive is a rewarding encounter of typical African game. Return to the lodge for relaxation till lunch after which you will gather at Paraa for Nile Launch cruise starting at 2pm.

The 3 hour boat cruise exposes you magical offerings of the Nile including the rare shoe bill stork, Nile crocodiles, Hippos, and wild game drinking on the river side.

The launch trip stretches to the bottom of the falls. Upon reaching the bottom of the falls, you embark on the hike to the top of the falls.

The hike takes you through a challenging narrow path following the Nile River as crushes its head on the ancient impermeable rocks that have stood in its way for centuries past.

You enjoy the roaring sound of the Nile which is accompanied by a plume of spray and a trade mark rainbow.

The top of the falls features a nice scenic view impressive for photography. Connect with your driver guide on the top of the falls to connect to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Undertake Chimpanzee Trekking in Budongo Forest & Drive to Kampala. Make a Stop En-route to Visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary En-route

Transfer in the early morning to Budongo Forest Reserve for Chimpanzee trekking starting at 8am. Kaniyo Pabidi forest is part of the greater Budongo Forest Reserve which is a home to over 800 Chimpanzees along with other flora and fauna long with magical bird species including the two endemic species of Puveliis Illadopsis and Fellow footed fly catcher.

The trek can last 2 – 5 hours inclusive of one hour of chimp viewing after which you embark on the drive to Kampala.

You make a stop en route at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to explore the fifteen southern white Rhinos. Proceed to Kampala to mark the end of the tour.

Day 8: Kampala City Tour

After a relaxed breakfast, you embark on the Kampala City tour commencing at 9am. The sites of interest include the Ugandan Parliament, Namugongo Martyrs Shrine where 45 converts were burnt because of converting to Christianity, the Uganda National Museum – the custodian of Uganda’s heritage, the Rubaga Cathedral which is the headquarter for catholic faith in Uganda, the Namirembe Cathedral for Protestants and the Baha’i Temple which is the only temple of the Baha’i in Africa.

You spare time in the afternoon to visit the Christ Our Vision Child Care where Prime Uganda Safaris dedicates a percentage of its earnings to support counts of needy children.
