Dubbed the “Pearl of Africa” by Winston Churchill in 1908, Uganda is a small but amazingly diverse nation. Uganda is extremely fascinating yet it is vastly an under explored destination.
The Rough Guides website and other tourists that have taken a Uganda safari have wrote about Uganda placing emphasis on the country’s diversity.
After a critical analysis, the Rough Guides, a UK-based leading travel publisher ranked Uganda as the best country to visit in Africa and the fourth best country to visit in the world in 2017.”
The United States based Cable News Network (CNN) named Uganda among the world’s top five tourism destinations for 2017.
Uganda was named 5th after India, Scotland, Canada and Bolivia.
This is attributed to Uganda’s outdoor sanctuary of crater lakes, silver back mountain gorilla, white sand beaches on lake islands, thundering waterfalls and national parks.
InterNations, a network of international guides, in April 2017 ranked Uganda the most welcoming country to raise a family in.
This was done after conducting a survey of 3,000 families who live and work abroad. After conducting this survey, respondents were completely satisfied with the warm attitude of Ugandans towards foreign families.
In a 2016 article, the same travel publication wrote “Eight Reasons Why You Need to Visit Uganda Next” exciting; tracking chimpanzees in Kibale Forest National park, rafting the Nile, hiking Mount Rwenzori and cruising the Kazinga Channel.
Other attractions named in this article were the Karamojong Uganda cultural safari experiences, the endemic rare shoe bill and tracking mountain gorillas.

Furthermore, the Cable News Network in July 2017 named Kidepo Valley National Park as one of the three parks that a tourist can enjoy while on an Africa safari experience.
Kidepo Valley National Park was also nominated for World Travel Awards in the category ‘Africa’s leading National Park 2017’.
