Kanye West and Wife Kim Kardashian to Return to Uganda in February 2019

Kanye WestThe famous United States (US) rapper and entrepreneur Kanye West and wife Kim Kardashian are scheduled to return to Uganda early next year in February 2019 according to Junior Tourism Minister Hon Godfrey Kiwanda Suubi.

“Our brother Kanye and his wife Kim are coming back in February.” On return, Kim and Kanye West, according to the minister, will be named Ugandan good will tourism ambassadors.

Minister Hon Godfrey Kiwanda Suubi made Kim and Kanye Wests’ return revelation while unveiling this year’s Christmas Tulambule Campaign which was geared to attract travelers on Uganda safaris to local tourist attractions during the festive season.

This strategy was launched as part of the various marketing strategies to promote tourism in Uganda at both National and local levels. Hon Godfrey Kiwanda Suubi further said as part of tourism marketing strategies, he has embarked on bringing as many tourism ambassadors for Uganda.

“We are recruiting Good Will Tourism Ambassadors,” Kiwanda said. Speaking at the festive tourism launch, Minister Kiwanda revealed that the sector has a target of attracting 4million tourists by the year 2020.

Kanye West and his wife and their 5-year-old daughter North were in Uganda for the shooting of Kanye’s latest album; “ Yandhi.”

During their visit to State House in Entebbe, Kanye committed to set up a regional tourism training school in Uganda.

“This is why we need these good will tourism ambassadors,” said the minister and that they need everybody who can offer anything to come on board.”

The minister also revealed that next month; November on the 7th, the minister will be unveiling three other celebrity good will ambassadors, among them socialite Zari.

The unveiled Tulambule campaign started in the Ankole region and has continued to other regions including the Busoga region; Jinja.

Uganda has several unique tourist attractions in all its four regions including the well distributed 10 National Parks that are the major reason why people safari Uganda.

These parks include; Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Kibale National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Mgahinga National Park, Lake Mburo National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Mountain Rwenzori National Park, Mountain Elgon National Park, Semuliki National Park, Kidepo Valley National Park.
